This Privacy Policy explains how WireWhat Live, a product of Wishland Technology Private Limited, collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our services.
Used for one-time verification (OTP) when you sign in. We do not sell your phone number or share it for marketing purposes.
Your name and general location (city or area entered during registration) are used to identify you in chat and help match viewers with nearby publishers.
Used to match viewers with nearby publishers, notify viewers when you go live, show publishers how far they are from an incoming request, and attach approximate location to uploaded replays. Location is sent to our servers while you have the app open and are using these features (requesting a stream, waiting for requests as a publisher, going live, or uploading a replay). **Location is collected only while the app is open and in use; WireWhat does not access your location in the background.** When the app is closed, matching uses the last location you shared while it was open. The app explains this and asks before Android's location permission prompt appears.
Used when you broadcast live or record a video within the app. Live video and audio are streamed through our infrastructure and delivered to viewers who join the session. Recorded videos may be processed on our servers and may be published to WireWhat Live's official YouTube channel for replay viewing.
When "Blur faces" is enabled for a live broadcast (on by default), the app detects faces directly on your device and blurs them in the video before it is streamed out, to help protect the privacy of bystanders. This detection runs entirely on-device — no image data is sent anywhere for this purpose. It is best-effort, not a guarantee: fast motion or brief detection gaps can leave a face unblurred for a moment. Recorded replay uploads go through a separate, additional server-side face-blur pass (see below)

Live streams are delivered in real time. We do not permanently store the live video on our servers after the session ends, unless you opt in to save the stream to YouTube.

We do not sell personal data. Information may be shared only when necessary to operate the service, including cloud hosting providers, SMS providers for OTP verification, mapping services, YouTube replay publishing, analytics tools, or when required by law.
Location data is collected only to enable location-based features within the service and is not used for advertising or sold to third parties.
WireWhat does not verify other users. You are responsible for your safety and for respecting others' privacy. Do not share sensitive personal information in chat or on camera. Use the app only for lawful purposes and only in places you are allowed to observe or record.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The latest version will always be available at this page and through links provided in the application and app store listings.
